If your retail and hospitality business is missing out on the virtues of modern technology, then you’re not alone. A recent Microsoft report found that more than 60% of business leaders lack confidence in their current enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and are held back from reaching their full potential because of its lack of flexibility and integration capabilities. Indeed, those with legacy on-premises solutions increasingly find themselves struggling to meet new business demands. Disconnected data prevents them from making smart decisions, makes them more vulnerable to data security threats and hinders them from taking advantage of the latest cloud-based and AI powered technologies.

These are just some of the reasons why retailers and hospitality businesses are making the switch from older ERP systems like LS Nav, built on Dynamics NAV, to modern, unified, software as a service (SaaS) solution like LS Central, which leverages the Dynamics 365 technology.

Here, we put the spotlight on some of our customers that have upgraded their retail management system to LS Central and are reaping the rewards.

Health club Total Fitness achieves business transparency

UK health club operator Total Fitness found that its on-premises, customized IT system based on Dynamics NAV wasn’t able to support its future business plans and growth. Wanting to stay within the Microsoft technology stack, it upgraded to Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Central after seeing the solution in action during a demo. The company valued the fact it would be able to manage finances, sales, bookings, loyalty, inventory, and analytics within the same platform.

All Total Fitness gym locations now run on LS Central, supporting the company to track sales accurately, identify growth opportunities, and make informed business decisions.

“I think the best part about LS Central for us is the reporting we can do at the back of it and how we can track all different elements,” said Jonathan Gatehouse, Food, Beverage and Retail Support Manager at Total Fitness.

Restaurant chain ArmyNavy Burger + Burrito does away with manual processes

ArmyNavy is a fast casual restaurant chain in the Philippines, which serves freshly made American-Mexican cuisine, including burgers and burritos. When the company first opened, it installed local POS systems to manage each restaurant. Over time, these disparate systems made it more challenging to oversee finances and purchases, and staff had to manually recode and verify data from different sources, which was both time consuming and error prone.

The management team wanted a centralized system that could connect all stores and departments. It chose LS Central as all front-end and back-end tasks could be managed within a single platform.

Now all locations are running on LS Central SaaS, ArmyNavy has reduced errors, eliminated time-consuming manual tasks and got its business under control.

“Managing over 100 stores is not an easy feat and having a unified system for a restaurant chain like ours is the most ideal setup,” said Chellet Paez-Laquian, Chief Operating Officer at ArmyNavy Burger. “We managed to eliminate a lot of inefficiencies, manual monitoring, and we lowered the risk of unreliable data and information.”
