Its well-known brands include Paperdolls, Wharton, Apple & Eve, Daniel Hechter in fashion, as well as Lipton, and Pfanner in food and beverage (F&B). With over 100 retail stores and counters nationwide, RGMC has established a strong presence in the Philippine market.
Business case
Despite its market success, RGMC faced operational challenges and slow growth due to its legacy retail systems, which created inefficiencies in key business functions. Issues included lack of real-time data and limited financial visibility, manual processes prone to errors, and poor customer experiences.
The situation worsened when a ransomware attack exposed critical vulnerabilities, disrupted operations, and caused financial losses. This incident was a wake-up call, and the very next day, RGMC began searching for a more secure, scalable, and future-ready solution.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, RGMC partnered with local LS Retail partner Retail Associates to implement LS Central together with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP in the cloud. LS Central connects all major retail operations, including Point of Sale (POS), inventory, loyalty, eCommerce, reporting, financials, and more into a single platform.
This shift to a SaaS model was driven by three factors:
