LS Central 27:0: All the latest for hotels and bookings

LS Central 27.0 officially launched on October 14th, 2025, and it comes packed with powerful new features to make hotel and reservation management smoother than ever. This release introduces exciting improvements across reservation management, housekeeping, rentals, and room availability, enhancing both LS Central for hotels and our Bookings for LS Central add-on. Let’s explore what’s new!
LS Central for hotels: Key features in the latest release
Tape chart enhancements: Room management made easier
Users can now swap rooms on the Tape Chart when a room has been allocated and confirmed but not yet checked in. Swaps are only allowed between rooms of the same type and for reservations with the same arrival date.
It is also now possible to filter rooms by building and floor by clicking the filter icon and selecting options from a dropdown menu.
When moving a reservation within a group to a new date, users are prompted to choose whether to update the entire group or only the single reservation. This ensures that changes are applied accurately according to the user’s intent.
Additionally, new actions for allocating and auto-allocating rooms have been added to the Tape Chart, making room assignment and management faster and more flexible.
Post sales invoices directly from Hotels Invoice Management page
Previously, users would create invoice documents from the Hotels Invoice Management page with the possibility of editing them with the risk of inconsistencies between the Hotel revenue entries and the Sales Invoice entries. Now, it’s possible to post sales invoices directly from the Hotels Invoice Management page, making it faster and more accurate for hotel staff to finalize guest accounts.
- Invoice details can be modified directly in the Reservation Folio Card.
- You can now add text lines to the Daily Revenue Entry (DRE).
Charge to reservation directly from the POS
We’ve added a new hotel status setting that lets you charge directly to a guest’s reservation when the reservation status allows it.
This gives your team more flexibility to handle soft check-ins, soft check-outs, or to adjust charges from the POS even after a guest has checked out.
Simplified room stay management
Managing room stays is now faster and more intuitive. You can now change room types, adjust daily rates, and apply discounts — all from a single page. Previously, this required jumping between several different pages.
This improvement helps your staff work more efficiently and spend less time on admin tasks.
New options to view and manage housekeeping plans
A new Housekeeping Plan is now available directly from the Hotel Reservation Card.
- Housekeeping can now be declined for specific days, and different housekeeping rules can be applied for each day of the guest’s stay.
- Staff can view the housekeeping plan for each reservation.
With this update, hotels can manage housekeeping services according to guest preferences or operational needs.
What’s new in Bookings for LS Central
New Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) framework for bookings
We’ve introduced a new Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) framework that makes it easier to manage both digital and physical access IDs in one place.
These IDs can come in many forms — barcodes, QR codes, RFID wristbands, or even biometric IDs. With the AIDC framework, you can now assign an ID to a reservation, activity, member, or membership directly from the POS by scanning it with a compatible device. Once scanned, the system instantly recognizes what the ID belongs to.
This can be used to:
- Check if a member has access to certain facilities
- Identify and charge the correct reservation or activity
- Add a member to a transaction
- Open reservation, activity, member, or membership details right from the POS
Improved rental management
We’ve enhanced the POS rental commands to make assigning and returning rental units faster and more user-friendly. Two new POS commands now offer extended rental functionality:
RentUnits: Displays a list of available rental units based on a resource filter (set as a parameter). From this list, users can easily select a unit and start the rental process.
ReturnUnits: Shows all rental units available for return. Users can select one or more units to start the return process, making it easy to handle multiple returns at once.
In addition, the AssignUnit2Act and AssignUnit2Res POS commands have been improved. Previously, these commands required users to manually enter the unit barcode. Now, they open a lookup list instead, allowing users to search and select the unit by barcode—making the process faster and reducing input errors.
We’ve also updated the Days in Payment View filter in the activity setup. This filter applies to the PAYRES POS command, which lists reservations ready for payment. If the value is set to 0, no date filter will be applied, and the command will work as it did before.
These updates make it easier for staff to manage rentals directly from the POS, improving both speed and accuracy in daily operations.
Possibility to book multiple rental units
We’ve added the ability to rent multiple units in a single reservation, making bulk rentals faster and more flexible.
A new “No. of Units” field is now available on activity reservations (if the reservation type supports the rental view).
- Users can edit this field to specify how many units they want to rent.
- This automatically adjusts the number of resources required for the activity, allowing more units to be assigned and multiplying the total amount by the number of units.
Assigned rental units are now shown on the invoice if they are allocated before the invoice is issued.
Now you can more easily manage bulk rentals while ensuring accuracy of invoices and payments for all your guests.
New POS commands for paying extra charges on group and linked reservations
We’ve introduced two new POS commands that make it easier to manage payments for group reservations and their linked individual bookings.
PAYALL: Lets the user select one reservation, and automatically includes all related reservations from the same group in the POS journal for payment.
PAYALLSELECT: Works in a similar way, but allows the user to view a list of all related reservations and choose which ones to include in the payment using multi-selection.
Both commands include a reservation type parameter to help filter the list of reservations available for payment. If the selected reservation isn’t part of a group, it will be processed as a standalone booking.
All general group charges (assigned to the group reservation) are also included in the payment, along with the paymaster's account.
These new POS commands give staff more control when managing complex payments, saving time and reducing the chance of missed charges.
View and manage waitlisted activities on the Matrix
You can now see waitlisted activities directly on the Matrix. This makes it easier for staff to manage the waitlist; they can quickly assign a resource to confirm the activity, move the appointment, or cancel it if needed.
With this update, your team can handle waitlisted bookings faster and keep schedules up to date with less effort.
Easier activity assignment from reservations
The UI framework has been updated to make adding activities to reservations more intuitive. Now, when you open the Matrix from the Activity Front Desk after viewing a reservation, the system automatically sets the currently selected reservation as the default for any new activities. This means any activities added through the Matrix will be assigned directly to the reservation you’re viewing.
Additionally, the client associated with the reservation is automatically set as the default client for any new activities, streamlining the process and reducing manual entry.
