Hótel Ísland selects LS Retail software to run its hotels in Iceland

Hótel Ísland has selected LS Central for hotels to manage rooms, F&B, and services in their hotels in Iceland.

Hótel Ísland Comfort, the smaller of the two accommodations owned by Hótel Ísland, is a 47-room hotel located in Kópavogur, Iceland, just a short distance from Reykjavik capital city. In addition to rooms, the hotel also has a continental breakfast offer and an in-house bar. The hotel began implementation of LS Central for hotels earlier in April 2023.

LS Central for hotels is an end-to-end PMS and business management software that extends ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with specialized functionality for hospitality businesses. LS Central makes it easy for hotels and resort businesses of various kinds to manage all their operations centrally on one platform, including accommodation, restaurant, sales, inventory, financials, staff management, and additional services such as appointments, tee times, spa treatments, rentals, and more.

“We were struggling with an incompatible system that was too slow, couldn’t connect data, and required too much manual work,” says Karolina Zawadzka, Hotel Manager at Hótel Ísland. “We couldn’t make sense of our reports or do simple back-office tasks, so we started searching for a solution that could do more than a traditional hotel PMS. When we came across LS Central, we were immediately drawn to the idea of being able to connect all the different parts of our business in one platform and see our information without having to access multiple systems.”

LS Central is already the solution of choice for the Blue Lagoon resort in Iceland, which it uses to run a combination of rooms, restaurants, spa, retail stores, and other services. “In the past few years, the industry has changed a lot, and now hotels are thinking about implementing technologies that can support them long-term, even as customer habits and demands change,” says Paulina Palczewska, Revenue Manager at Hótel Ísland. “We needed a solution that could simplify our business processes, include support for multiple properties, and give us a single view of our guests. We are looking forward to seeing how the software will help improve both our guest experience and our employees’ daily tasks.”

Hótel Ísland plans to first run the LS Central for hotels solution in Hótel Ísland Comfort, and then take the implementation to their larger accommodation, Hótel Ísland Spa and Wellness later this year, which offers 128 rooms, an in-house restaurant, spa, as well as an array of services.
