Alliance Healthcare Norge Apotekdrift AS, which has the right to the name Boots Apotek in Norway, has selected LS Central for pharmacies from LS Retail, an Aptos Company as the new management system for the over 150 Boots pharmacies that it runs in Norway.
The announcement was made at conneXion, LS Retail’s yearly partner and customer conference. This year over 450 attendees from 48 countries have travelled to Reykjavik, Iceland, to attend the sessions and expo.
Boots has more than 160 years of experience in international pharmacy operations. The brand, which is headquartered in the UK, opened its first pharmacy in Norway in 2008. Today, Boots Apotek/Alliance Healthcare Norge Apotekdrift AS is the third largest pharmacy chain in Norway.
LS Central for pharmacies is an extensive software solution that enables pharmacies to effectively manage, sell, and replenish pharmaceuticals and retail items, in the physical store chain and online. The system uses Microsoft technology and is built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP.
LS Central for pharmacies is a certified software in Norway, having been accredited by the Norwegian Health Services (NHN) in January 2023. Norsk Medisinaldepot AS (NMD), the second largest pharmacy chain in Norway, uses LS Central for pharmacies in its almost 400 stores.

Boots plans to use most of the functionality offered by LS Central, which includes dispensing management, customer loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail and point of sale functionality. The chain plans to begin rollout of the system in Summer 2024.
