Qattous Retail

Founded in 2010, Qattous Retail is one of Jordan’s leading retail and real estate groups, employing more than 400 people across multiple business divisions. Its retail portfolio includes fashion brand La Familia, Ohana Outlet, and LaVenta Outlet.

Faster multi-brand operations

Real-time visibility across a complex, multi-format operation

Qattous Retail now runs all its brands and locations on one standardized platform, making it easier to build consistent processes, train employees, and share working practices across the business.

As Suha Hammad, Group Senior IT Manager at Qattous Retail says:

“The new platform gives us a single source of truth across our stores, warehouse, inventory, finance, and head-office operations. It replaces the group’s disconnected systems and spreadsheet-based processes with one environment, so every team is working from the same up-to-date information.”

Easier access to product and stock information

With LS Central, cashiers can see product price, promotion, and stock information from one place, eliminating the need to check separate systems or call head office. Store teams can also check product availability – including sizes or colors of items – at other locations and answer customer questions faster.

Transforming manual data checks to real-time analysis

Store, warehouse, and finance teams now spend significantly less time collecting and checking data by hand. Finance has replaced spreadsheet-based reporting with real-time analysis in Business Central, so management can spot issues sooner, and spend more time analyzing information instead of compiling it.

Clearer reporting capabilities

Head office now uses daily dashboards to review sales and stock, weekly reports to assess promotions and distribution, and Business Central reports to support the period-end financial close. Management and operational teams across the business have clearer, more current access to this information. They also now have visibility across all brands and outlets through one platform, giving management a single, consolidated view of performance across the business, without needing to reconcile separate reports.

Better use of customer data

Qattous Retail can now collect and analyze customer and transaction data more effectively, including shared customers across its fashion brands. This supports more targeted promotions and future personalization initiatives. taking into account shared customers across the fashion brands.

Improved inventory management

Direct integration to warehouse operations has now made it easier for employees to spot shipment discrepancies earlier, update inventory centrally, and trace goods more effectively from the moment they’re received through to distribution.

What was holding the business back

As Qattous Retail expanded, the business increasingly relied on separate systems for point of sale, inventory, and operational management. Information didn’t flow between these systems, making it challenging to get a consistent, current view of how the business was performing.

Teams often exported and reconciled information manually using spreadsheets. By the time a report reached management, the numbers behind it could already be out of date.

Store managers couldn’t quickly check whether stock was available at another location. Warehouse staff checked incoming shipments against separate records, which made it difficult to spot and trace discrepancies. Finance and management teams spent much of their time assembling and validating data before they could start analyzing it.

The decision and foundation

Qattous Retail set out to find a modern, cloud-based platform that could connect its retail operations across brands, channels, and locations, while delivering greater clarity across the business and meeting local regulations.

The group defined a clear set of requirements:

  • one centralized platform connecting stores, warehouse, inventory, finance, and head office

  • accurate, up-to-date sales, stock, customer, and financial information

  • standardized point-of-sale and operational processes across all its brands and locations

  • clear visibility into sales, inventory movements, returns, and promotions

The platform also needed to automate reporting and support faster financial analysis, strengthen how customer and transaction data was collected and used, and integrate with Jordan’s national electronic invoicing system.

Qattous Retail selected LS Central to support their retail operations, together with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and local LS Retail partner Megatek to lead the implementation.

The implementation included:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Central on SaaS

  • Comprehensive point-of-sale and warehouse management functionality

  • Integration with Jordan’s Fawtara electronic invoicing platform

  • Megatek’s extended Warehouse Management Solution, Kapyod

  • A customized outlet-receiving workflow, enabling warehouse teams to record goods as they arrive, compare them against expected shipment information, and flag any discrepancies

After training for retail and operational teams, and rigorous testing, including stress testing and validation of operational scenarios, the implementation successfully went live during Ramadan, one of the busiest trading periods in retail.

“Megatek was more than an implementation partner. They became part of our transformation journey,” says Suha Hammad, Group Senior IT Manager, Qattous Retail. “Their team demonstrated strong retail expertise, maintained a structured implementation approach, and remained committed throughout every phase of the project.”

Looking ahead

Building on the success of its cloud transformation, Qattous Retail continues to invest in technology that improves efficiency and decision-making.

Qattous Retail is exploring both Microsoft Copilot capabilities within Business Central and RFID technology in two phases, first for receiving and warehouse transfers, then through integration with the point-of-sale system.

Q&A: insights from Qattous Retail's implementation

How did Qattous Retail replace spreadsheet-based reporting with real-time analysis?
By moving finance and operations onto one platform, Business Central and LS Central, running together on SaaS. Instead of exporting figures and reconciling them by hand, finance now works from live data, so management can spot issues sooner and spend more time analyzing information than compiling it.

How does Qattous Retail maintain consistent processes across its fashion brands?
The group runs La Familia, Ohana Outlet, and LaVenta Outlet on one standardized platform, which makes it easier to build consistent processes, train employees, and share working practices across the business, rather than each brand operating its own way.

What changed for store and cashier operations?
Cashiers can now see product price, promotion, and stock information from one place, without checking separate systems or calling head office. Store teams can also check availability, including sizes and colors, at other locations, so they can answer customer questions faster.

What role does the warehouse integration play in the rollout?
Direct integration with warehouse operations, including Megatek's Kapyod warehouse management solution and a customized outlet-receiving workflow, lets teams check incoming shipments against expected orders and flag discrepancies as they arrive. That's made it easier to update inventory centrally and trace goods from receiving through to distribution.
