As Body Energy Club expanded across regions and formats, from full retail stores to express café-only locations, operational complexity grew. The company needed a unified retail system that could support high-volume stores, omnichannel shopping, and rapid growth.

 At the same time, their old system was outdated and struggling to keep up with changing customer expectations. “Our software had no room for growth,” says Dominick Tousignant, CEO at Body Energy Club. “Customers need to shop how they want whether in-store, online, or in the app. Our software simply couldn’t do that.”

Solution

LS Central quickly stood out as a strong contender thanks to its modular design, retail-focused features, and cloud-based architecture. Body Energy Club ultimately selected it for its ease of use, scalability, and the ability to expand with modules like LS Pay, eCommerce for LS Central, and Staff Management for LS Central.

“We wanted something that was user-friendly for the staff because our stores are busy and compact,” says Tousignant. “It had to be cloud-based and modular. We also liked the fact that many other retail stores use LS Central successfully.”

To support the rollout, Body Energy Club partnered with Canadian LS Retail partner Dynamixware. “We needed a partner who could support us end-to-end,” says Tousignant. “Dynamixware was responsive, knowledgeable, and highly recommended.”

All stores migrated overnight, with Dynamixware on-site during go-live week to ensure a smooth rollout across all store formats. “The implementation went smoothly, with no business interruption, no crises, and everything came in on budget,” says Tousignant.

  • An omnichannel shopping experience for the modern customer

Body Energy Club now processes approximately $2.5M in monthly sales, including $60K from eCommerce and $200K through the mobile app. Connecting the app with LS Central has created a seamless omnichannel experience that boosts customer engagement. Each store functions almost like a mini warehouse, fulfilling orders locally. “This capability gives franchisees a clear advantage and makes order fulfillment faster and simpler as we expand,” says Tousignant.

  • Rapid growth in app orders

Since launch, sales through the app have grown 40% with minimal promotion. Customers can now:

    • Order for pickup or one-hour delivery via Uber, fully integrated with LS Central. “Amazon can deliver vitamins fast, but not fresh food,” says Tousignant. “We can deliver smoothies, supplements, and snacks within the hour. It gives us real proximity and convenience.
    • Earn and redeem loyalty points across stores, online, and in-app
    • Maintain unified customer profiles across all channels
  • Smarter inventory management across channels

LS Central centralizes inventory across stores, the mobile app, and Shopify, giving the team real-time visibility into stock levels. This ensures stronger product availability while reducing overstock, waste, and manual reconciliation. Whether it is for café-only locations or retail stores, teams now have consistent tools for inventory allocation and sales tracking, strengthening operational consistency across all formats.

  • Data-driven decision-making for marketing and loyalty

With customer data unified in one system, Body Energy Club can run targeted marketing campaigns and personalized promotions, capabilities the team plans to expand further with AI. “We have a massive customer database,” says Tousignant. “With the app, delivery, and unified shopping, AI can help us reach people at the right time with the right products – this is how we’ll take the business to the next level.”

  • A global platform built for growth

As the company plans to expand toward 50 to 100 stores, Body Energy Club sees LS Central as the foundation they need for long-term growth. It helps franchisees maintain stronger operational consistency, gain better visibility across locations, and scale efficiently as the network grows.

“Moving to SaaS will give us the latest features, better connectors, more reporting options, and a scalable, fault-tolerant environment,” says James Cooper, CTO at Body Energy Club. “As we expand, it’s important to have a system we can rely on globally.”

Body Energy Club is now exploring tools to better manage product information, especially images and nutrition data, to keep online catalogs accurate and help customers make informed choices. They are also evaluating the Staff Management module to streamline scheduling and optimize staffing across all locations. On top of that, the company is considering self-service kiosks to speed up in-store ordering, reduce wait times, and free staff to focus on personalized customer service.

Looking ahead, the team plans to fully leverage LS Central’s reporting and AI capabilities, including recommendations for inventory distribution, demand forecasting, and personalized marketing. “We carry millions of dollars in inventory,” says Tousignant. “AI could help us understand what sells in one store versus another and move products efficiently. That would unlock huge savings.”

As SaaS migration progresses and new LS Central modules are added, Body Energy Club is ready to grow digitally, scale operations efficiently, and provide a seamless experience wherever customers shop.
