The company offers products such as proteins, boosters, and vitamins through online channels and in 16 premium stores across Germany, including two franchise locations. Additionally, Body Attack serves B2B customers through a dedicated Shopware 6 platform, marketplaces such as Amazon, and personal sales channels.
Business case
Previously, Body Attack relied on SWS ERP Professional, DATEV, and a proprietary cash register system. “Performance and stability were major challenges,” says Philip Eggerstedt, CEO at Body Attack Sports Nutrition. “Systems often ran unstably, isolated solutions created inconsistent processes, and we were missing TSE compliance - the legally required technical security system in Germany that ensures all cash register transactions are securely recorded and tamper-proof.” The combination of operational risk and legal obligations prompted Body Attack to seek a more robust, end-to-end solution.
Solution
After evaluating multiple options, Body Attack selected LS Central by LS Retail, a POS and retail management solution that can extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. LS Central unifies sales, inventory, reporting, and financials, providing them with a single system to run their operations instead of many, disconnected pieces of software. Body Attack chose to operate the new system as SaaS, eliminating the need for on-site servers and ensuring continuous updates without disruption.
Local LS Retail partner TSO-DATA drove the implementation with a clear and flexible approach, combining classic project phases with agile sprint planning. “We were actively involved in workshops, could clearly state our requirements, and always had transparency about implementation status,” says Philip Eggerstedt. The project was rolled out in two phases: first focusing on branch and franchise operations, and then expanding to eCommerce, including merchandise management, financial accounting, and logistics.
Benefits
With LS Central, Body Attack has consolidated its business processes, creating more efficient, transparent, and connected operations:
- Centralized operations – All core business areas - branches, franchise locations, eCommerce, finance, and logistics - are now managed in a single system, giving management a real-time overview of the entire business. “Our processes are finally converging in one system,” says Eggerstedt. LS Central seamlessly connects with the organization’s mail order solution KatarGo through TSO Unify integration, ensuring smooth data flow and consistent business processes across all sales and fulfillment channels.
- Automated, connected workflows – Key processes, such as document handling between clients, branches, online shops, marketplaces, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), have been fully automated. “The integration of all sales channels and automation in the intercompany area noticeably reduces our workload every week,” says Eggerstedt.
- Enhanced financial and document management – Accounting, invoicing, and reporting are fully connected within the system, and with M-Files, all important documents are securely stored, audit-proof, and easy to access when needed.
- Accurate, data-driven insights – Business Central seamlessly connects with the full Microsoft suite, giving Body Attack easy access to tools like Power BI. This allows management to visualize and track key business metrics, such as sales, inventory levels, and financial performance, enabling faster, more informed decision-making.
- Freed-up resources – Tasks, such as managing orders and stock reservations, have been automated, freeing employees to focus on strategic work that drives growth.
