Even before the 4 Shopping Center opened its doors, they were already looking for a suitable POS solution. “We had a long-term plan for store expansion and didn't want to start with a small or local POS solution,” says Ahmed Abo Arab, IT System Administrator at 4 Shopping Center. The company listed their requirements and a key one was a strong replenishment module that would allow them to set individual reorder amounts per item.
4 Shopping Center evaluated different systems to find the solution that would best support their business processes, while also being easy to learn. After a few rounds of demos from various suppliers, the company selected LS Retail software, LS Central, a complete retail solution based on Microsoft Dynamics ERP, as its new business management system. Implementing a new solution always presents some challenges but the management team at 4 Shopping Center allowed enough time to learn the system and get the most from it. During the implementation, the teams encountered difficulties setting up an integration that would allow them to send discount coupons to their customers via WhatsApp or SMS. But they could rely on the professionalism and experience of their local partner Dynamics Link to overcome these difficulties. In the end, the team managed to get up and running in just two months.
