New partnership with SAP and out-of-the-box integration between LS One and SAP Business One

We are happy to announce that LS Retail is now a certified SAP partner. The business cooperation between the two software development leaders concerns a new integration between LS One, LS Retail’s Point of Sale (POS) and back office solution, and SAP Business One, SAP’s ERP software for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The integration is available for LS One 2018 and SAP Business One 9.3 and onwards. LS One 2018 will be released on August 31st, with a beta version preceding it on July 6th. The current certification is on the SQL version, but the Hana certification is expected to follow shortly.

Built on .net technology, LS One is a Point of Sale software solution with its own proprietary back office system. The software is designed for retail businesses of all sizes operating in a variety of sectors, from grocery, to fashion, to specialty and more. LS One offers deep retail functionality, all the way from customer sales and services to price, item and discount management. SAP Business One is an ERP system used in industries that span from manufacturing, to retail, to service and distribution. The software includes powerful tools to manage accounting, financials, purchasing, inventory and reports. It does not, however, feature retail-specific functionality.

The new collaboration between LS Retail and SAP provides retailers with the LS One POS for SAP Business One, a fully integrated system with all the functionality they need. The out-of-the-box integration simplifies and speeds up the installation of the two systems, dramatically reducing implementation times for retailers.

Technology partners will need to install the two standard solutions, and configure a minimal set of parameters to establish a connection.

Although the two systems are separate, the official integration enables retailers to use LS One and SAP Business One as a single platform. The integration ensures that data continuously synchronizes between the ERP and the Point of Sale and back, effectively creating a seamless experience for the user. For example, a manager at HQ will be able to manage item master, barcodes, prices, taxes, and more, on SAP Business One. The system then automatically transmits the changes to the POS. Similarly, the POS posts all transaction data to SAP Business One, where users can take advantage of the ERP’s capabilities for accounting, reporting and analysis.
