Dubai-based supermarket and retail chain, Shaklan Group, has selected LS Central, with implementation led by LS Retail partner LS Infotech. The solution will initially go live in four stores, with the full rollout planned to cover all 28 locations across the group’s retail network.

Shaklan Group's business portfolio spans retail outlets, real estate development, restaurants, catering services, and food distribution. Its retail arm operates under several store formats, including Shaklan Hypermarket, Shaklan Supermarket, Shaklan Market, and Shaklan Department Store. Across these formats, customers can choose from a wide variety of quality products spanning every category, from grocery to home textiles, personal care, home appliances, and electronic accessories.

Before moving to LS Central, Shaklan Group ran its operations on the iTrade application, where finance and inventory were managed on separate servers. This created data silos, duplicate master data maintenance, delays in information sharing, and limited visibility across the business, challenges compounded by grocery retail's fast-moving inventory and multi-company structure. Product pricing, in particular, had to be maintained separately for each company, making price management complex and time-consuming.

After evaluating available options, Shaklan Group selected LS Central as its core business management software to deliver improved visibility, operational efficiency, data accuracy, and centralized control across all business entities and locations.

LS Central is the global POS and retail operations platform by LS Retail. Running natively on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the software delivers real-time, centralized data across the entire business. Its modular design gives retailers the flexibility to start with the capabilities they need today and expand as their operations grow. Over 110,000 retail stores, restaurants, pharmacies, fuel stations, hotels, and more run on LS Retail software in 157 countries.

With LS Central, Shaklan Group can manage its entire retail and back-office operations on one platform, replacing a fragmented legacy system with a solution that unifies commerce, finance, and supply chain under a single source of truth. Retail, inventory, warehouse, purchasing, and finance all run within the same system, with centralized master data management allowing items, customers, vendors, and pricing to be maintained once and shared across all companies. Standardized pricing rules ensure consistency while still accommodating company-specific requirements where needed.

“Upgrading our ERP was a critical step for our growing business, and LS Central made the choice incredibly easy," says Shyju Majeed, IT Manager at Shaklan Group. "The platform is highly intuitive and user-friendly. A huge thank you to LS Infotech, our initial conversations with them gave us the absolute confidence we needed to make this leap forward.”

“Shaklan Group’s decision to select LS Central is a strategic investment in the future of its retail business,” says Neeraj Singh Langeh, Founder and Managing Director at LS Infotech. “By choosing a unified retail platform, the organization is establishing a strong foundation for operational efficiency, improved customer experiences, and scalable growth across its expanding network of stores.”

“We're delighted to welcome Shaklan Group to the LS Retail family,” says Waddah Laham, Vice President MEA & India at LS Retail. “Their move to LS Central reflects a broader trend we’re seeing across the region, where growing retail groups need a single platform that can handle complex, multi-format, multi-company operations without the data silos of legacy systems. We look forward to supporting Shaklan Group, together with our partner LS Infotech, as they roll out LS Central across their retail network.”
