One platform to support six different markets
Complete visibility across every channel
With LS Central, every store and back-office functions run on a single platform, which means Tavola now has real-time visibility across the whole business. Sales data, stock levels, and operational insights are all available in one place, so the team can make faster and more informed decisions without chasing information across disconnected systems.
As SP Kumar, Director at 4Homes FZCO says:
"The real-time insights and centralized management have not only improved our operational efficiency but also allowed us to focus more on delivering a great customer experience. We’re confident that our business is ready for future growth with LS Central."
Inventory that keeps pace with demand
Centralized inventory management gives the team a live view of stock across every location. Whether a customer is buying in-store or online through TavolaShop.com, the team can see what products are available. Since Tavola is primarily a dining, tableware, and cookware business – with cookware seeing the highest demand – this visibility is especially valuable for ensuring the right stock is in the right store. "This helps us reduce stock discrepancies and respond quickly to customer demand," says SP Kumar.
Faster operations at every touchpoint
Updating pricing, running promotions, or checking stock across multiple locations all happen centrally and apply instantly across every store and the online platform, ensuring consistency in customer experience.
"Since migrating to LS Central SaaS, managing our stores and online platform has become so much easier. Tasks that used to take hours, like updating pricing, running promotions, or checking stock across multiple locations, now take just minutes," says SP Kumar.
The team can also order products for customers from other locations, with goods delivered by courier or picked up by the customer themselves, something they do regularly. Click and collect isn’t yet in place, but the team is planning to implement Customer Orders in the future to build on this capability.
Simple to use and quick to learn
The POS keeps store transactions running smoothly, with accurate sales and customer data captured automatically. Every transaction, from start to finish, sits on one platform and can be easily traced. And because the system is intuitive to use, getting new staff up to speed is quick, meaning less time on training and more time on the shop floor.
Reporting without the gaps
Because every channel feeds into one system, there is no data loss between system integrations and no need to reconcile figures from separate sources. Management gets complete, accurate, and consistent information on customers and vendors, and can pull real-time reporting at any point. Analytics for LS Central, currently being rolled out, will extend this further with more advanced reports available as part of the package.
Always current, always ready to scale
Operating in SaaS means Tavola always runs on the latest version of LS Central, with continuous updates applied automatically. The infrastructure overhead of maintaining on-premises servers, running backups, and planning version upgrades is gone entirely. The team can focus on growing the business and serving customers, not managing IT
From on-premises to the cloud
Tavola had run LS Retail software on-premises for several years. The system served the business well as Tavola grew across the GCC. But as the operation expanded across multiple countries, channels, and store locations, the limitations became harder to ignore.
As SP Kumar, Director at 4Homes FZCO explains:
"One of the key challenges with the on-premises environment was the need to manage and maintain our own infrastructure, including servers, upgrades, backups, and system monitoring. System updates and version upgrades also required planning and resources, which could delay access to the newest features and improvements."
Tavola had a clear long-term technology strategy, and migrating to LS Central SaaS was the right move to stay ahead of growth. "The transition to SaaS enables our team to focus more on business growth and customer experience rather than IT maintenance, while leveraging the latest retail technology innovations available within the LS Central ecosystem," says SP Kumar.
A migration built on partnership
Tavola worked with local LS Retail partner LS Infotech, their long-standing technology partner, to manage migration. The two teams had already built a close working relationship over several years, and that familiarity made the project run smoothly.
The project followed a structured approach: detailed requirements analysis, system design, migration planning, testing, validation, and user training, before going live across all stores. Because the team at LS Infotech already understood Tavola's operations, the transition caused minimal disruption to daily business.
As SP Kumar says:
"LS Infotech has a highly skilled team, which has made it easy for us to communicate our requirements. Their deep understanding of our business processes allowed them to deliver exactly what we needed, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation."
Q&A: insights from Tavola's implementation
What prompted Tavola to migrate to SaaS?
Managing on-premises infrastructure was taking up time and resources the team would rather spend elsewhere. Moving to the cloud with LS Central meant no more server maintenance, automatic updates, and a platform that could keep up as the business kept growing.
Why did Tavola choose LS Central over other retail platforms?
LS Retail had already supported Tavola's core retail processes, including point of sale, inventory management, and promotions. Moving to the SaaS allowed the company to retain these capabilities while gaining the flexibility, security, and continuous updates of a cloud platform.
What do Tavola's operations look like now?
Retail stores, inventory, pricing, and promotions are all managed through a single platform across all six markets. Changes can be made centrally and reflected across channels, helping the business maintain consistency while reducing manual processes and system complexity.
What's the biggest difference Tavola's customers and staff notice?
Everyone works from the same live data. Store teams know exactly what’s in stock across every location. The B2B side (hospitality groups, restaurants, culinary schools) gets the same consistent service. And because every sale, every order, every update flows through one database, there are no surprises and no gaps.
