“What started in 2007 as a young fashion chain with 13 ZEB stores has grown into a retail group with 85 ZEB stores, 21 The Fashion Store locations, and 27 Pointcarré stores,” says Steven Van Eynde, IT Manager at Fashion Society.

The group manages its entire logistics process internally and operates in a fast-moving fashion environment where efficiency, continuity, and scalability are critical. 

Business case

Previously, ZEB and PointCarré operated on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, while The Fashion Store relied on SoftTouch, supplemented by numerous custom-built applications. As a result, employees often had to work across multiple systems, creating inefficiencies and operational complexity.

Cybersecurity was another growing concern. Legacy systems were increasingly vulnerable, while the group needed to comply with stricter security standards. The objective was clear: align processes across the group while preserving the unique identity of each retail brand.

Solution

To support continued growth, Fashion Society decided to migrate from a fragmented IT landscape to a single, shared ERP platform based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Retail software. “We had the ambition to organize ourselves more as a group with one ERP system for the three retailers, and to align the processes as much as possible,” says Van Eynde. “After all, that means efficiency gains.”

By remaining within the Microsoft ecosystem and partnering once again with local LS Retail partner TCOG, Fashion Society aimed to reduce system complexity, ensure business continuity, and build a future-proof IT foundation. “We believe IT should make the lives of our employees easier,” says Steven Van Eynde.

The project covered all ERP components, including finance, purchasing, logistics, retail operations, and eCommerce. Thanks to TCOG’s deep knowledge of LS Retail solutions, Fashion Society achieved a smooth data migration while safeguarding business continuity. “The collaboration with TCOG is going smoothly: we continue to challenge each other, and there is open communication,” says Van Eynde. “That is the advantage of a long-term partnership.”

In parallel, Fashion Society was running several other major IT initiatives, including:
•    an eCommerce migration from Magento to Shopify
•    the introduction of a new automatic sorting machine
•    a move to an external data center
•    steps toward marketing automation
