The need for an integrated solution

The company used to use two main systems to manage its business, one for accounting and one to manage operations. In addition to these two tools, they had to maintain a number of major interfaces to ensure the integrity of the data across the systems. Finance, retail, manufacturing and inventory were all handled separately. After using this homegrown system for over a decade, FasEastFlora realized that their software infrastructure was creating bottlenecks that affected their productivity. It was then that they decided to partner up with business solutions experts CyanSYS to replace their ERP system.

LS Nav: POS and ERP, all in one

To simplify their complicated processes, certified LS Retail implementation partner CyanSYS proposed LS Nav, an end-to-end solution ERP and POS solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. With LS Nav, an integrated software system, the florist company would be able to control all its business operations in one single platform, remove bottlenecks, improve the efficiency of workflows and increase productivity levels, enabling the company to embrace new business opportunities.

E-commerce integration

The new system enabled the company to be more productive by cutting out the (often manual) processes that were required when FarEastFlora.com worked with 4 systems. LS Nav’s integration with e-commerce platform Magento has also proved beneficial to FarEastFlora.com, enabling them to drive core functions on their e-commerce website.

Present and future support

Before LS Nav, FarEastFlora.com had used a customized system for many years. The homegrown system meant that there was no external support readily available, and no upgrades to keep it up with the times. Well aware of these problems, FarEastFlora.com is very satisfied with the possibility of using official software support for its current system, if the need will arise. Furthermore, both Microsoft and LS Retail provide their customers with clear roadmaps of future developments, removing the retailer’s concern that their core operating system may become obsolete.
