Last Saturday, Magnús Norðdah,l LS Retail CEO, and Knútur G. Hauksson, President of the Icelandic Handball Federation, signed a sponsorship contract at half-time during a game between the Icelandic Ladies' National Team and the Czech Republic. This was the final test for the ladies´ handball team before heading for the World Championship Finals in Brazil, which start December 3rd.



According to the contract, LS Retail will financially support Women´s Handball in Iceland on all levels,  with special emphasis on participation in major competitions.In return, the Icelandic Women´s teams will wear the LS Retail logo on their playing outfit and LS Retail will get promoted by the Handball Federation through advertisements at interational games and in other context.

Magnús Norðdahl expressed that LS Retail is proud to support the growing women´s handball in Iceland. The progress in recent years has been quite rapid as the National Team´s participation in the finals of the last European Championship and now World Cup testifies.

The Icelandic Team passed the final test by beating the Czech team twice and LS Retail wishes them good luck in the coming games. Be sure to follow "Our Girls" if you can - they are fine representatives of Iceland wherever they play.
