Brand W (which stands for new age Indian Women and a fast growing apparel retail brand across India) has selected Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the LS Retail solution from Tectura India, the sales & implementation partner for Dynamic Vertical Solutions.

TCNS Clothing, the owners of W brand, has chalked out ambitious growth plans across Indian and international markets to cater to the Indian traditional wear market.

Brand W is one of most famous retail brands in India, noted for its range of traditional Indian women’s wear and presence across all prominent retail locations. As part of an ambitious three year growth strategy, the company wanted to select a robust IT platform for connecting their retail and back office operations. Prior to the selection of MS Dynamics and LS Retail, TCNS used myriad of information systems.

With the existing systems, it was not viable for TCNS to reap the benefits of enterprise-wide consistency in forecasting, ordering, allocation and distribution processes.

SAP IS retail was the key competitor. The Tectura and Dynamic Vertical Solutions teams did a great job in convincing the management that Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS Retail NAV was the perfect choice; and SAP was out of the fray.

SAP was present with a strong brand recognition which was aptly countered through strong references at Lilliput India, a well known kids’ wear brand, as well as at Digital Shoppy.

Furthermore, the teams played on the ‘ease of usage’ factor within the MS Dynamics platform and lower total cost of ownership equations vs. SAP IS Retail. A core pre-sales team comprising of Functional resources from Finance, Distribution & Retail domains was formed to understand the detailed requirements and, in addition, a solid three days’ demonstration was done to present the solution.

The Tectura team coordinated closely with the Microsoft team to provide the necessary support to the TCNS team in respect to both internal and external queries.
