The Pier ehf., the unique furniture and gifts store was recently opened in Iceland. The Pier decided to use the latest LS Retail 5.0 version, installed by Landsteinar Strengur, the LS Retail business partner in Iceland.

- Landsteinar Strengur‘s depth of knowledge and experience in Retail has helped us develop and put in place sound processes in a short time. The flexibility of the LS Retail solution allowed us to easily adapt benchmark retail processes, the implementation went smoothly, plus it was very easy for our staff to learn how to use the system, says Mr. Hermann Þór Kristinsson, IT manager at The Pier.

- We are very pleased that The Pier has decided to install LS Retail, with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, says Mr. Ivar Hardarsson, Sales Manager for Landsteinar Strengur in Iceland. - The implementation was very successful and it enables The Pier to run their operations more productively and make life easier for their employees.  

Pier 1 Imports started as a single store in San Mateo, California in 1962. In 1989, the first Pier store opened in Britain, with the name The Pier. Today, there are 46 Pier outlets in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

The Pier cooperated with Pier International and opened the first international store in Iceland in October. Later on, more stores will be opened internationally.
