SCICOM has successfully implemented the LS Retail NAV solution for the new PUBLIC chain store in Athens center

The new store of the PUBLIC chain was opened December 4, 2007 in the center of Athens at Palli’s historical Palace.  The floor space of the store is 5.000 m2 and the visitors have more than 180.000 products to choose from.

One of the basic elements of its technological infrastructure, the retail system of the store, LS Retail NAV, was supplied by SCICOM.

The international retail solution, LS Retail NAV, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, has been installed in the 20 POSs in the store. The solution has a built-in loyalty feature, which is a major advantage for PUBLIC because the chain offers customers special member’s cards called My Club Public. When a customer does recurring purchases from any store in the Public chain, he is rewarded with a product of his choice. Direct customer information is also provided at the POS, concerning his needs, interests and his kind of purchases.  Specific offers can be planned on the basis of this information.

Other advantages of the solution are for example reduced waiting time at the POS thanks to the high speed and the use touch-screens, support of all tender types (invoice, credit card, tax free, and so on), real-time information to the Administration about the store, the POS, salespersons, items, sales, offers, price lists and the purchasing behavior of the customer, etc.

LS Retail is also in use in the other three stores of the chain that are located in Thessalonica, in Volos and in Cyprus.
