Landsteinar Nederland implemented Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision and Landsteinar Retail in the first IKEA store in Turkey.

The IKEA store in Turkey opened its doors in Istanbul on May 5th, 2005. As expected, tenths of thousands visited the store the first days and on the following Sunday more than 90.000 people came to visit the store. Most likely, a new record was set in the amount visitors to a store in a single day.

The new Istanbul store has a floor size of about 35.000 m2 including show rooms, a market hall, a self-serve area, a warehouse, restaurant, a Swedish Shop and a café.

IKEA Istanbul is using Microsoft Navision and Landsteinar Retail, including the LS Data Director and Point-of-Sale application. The fully integrated solution consisting of Landsteinar and Microsfot Navision covers the complete operation including restaurant, warehouse management, supply chain management, logistics, CRM and financial management.

The solution runs on clustered Microsoft SQL and IBM hardware. The system has about 70 concurrent users and about 40 POS.
