IBS completes the first phase of the Runway Duty free store chain automation project at Domodedovo Airport

IBS, a Landsteinar Strengur’s Partner in Russia, has computerized a new boutique of the world-famous Swarovski brand run by the Runway Duty free Domodedovo store chain at Domodedovo Airport. The boutique is located in the international airlines gallery (controlled area).

A solution based on Microsoft Navision, was selected as the automation platform.

IBS was chosen as the solution vendor. The company has ten years’ experience in computerizing retail and small wholesale operations. The unique comprehensive LS Retail solution with modules from IBS was selected. This solution is used to run retail operations and is based on Microsoft Navision, a worldwide popular platform for duty free stores, the end-to-end retail solution, Landsteinar Retail and the very latest IBM SurePOS 500 POS terminals with touch screen monitors and other modules from IBS.

IBS Retail applies the single information environment strategy and automates all key business processes of retail operations, such as accepting, storing, and selling goods, accepting cash or bank card payments, and analyzing business operations of a geographically distributed network. IBS Retail is fully compliant with Russian legal and regulatory requirements and the specific requirements of duty free sales. More particularly, it supports multi-currency payments and accounting. This project is planned to include the computerization of the head-office and eight more stores of the Runway Duty free Domodedovo store chain, including Shannon’s Irish Bar.
