Marukai Corporation U.S.A. decided to deploy LS Retail Software with the help of LS Retail partner, Specialists in Custom Software, Inc. (SCS) to improve operations and management of its chain of Japanese Markets and 98 Cent stores in Southern California. Marukai sells Japanese import foods, sushi-grade fish, furniture, kitchenware, vacuum cleaners – just about anything you can think of! 

“Marukai decided to expand the deployment of LS Retail because of the system’s extensive functionality at the point of sale, all-in-one functionality making it a complete end-to-end solution,” says SCS VP of Public Relations Audrey Schmedes. “The LS Retail solution offers complete integration with NAV, providing inventory visibility, pricing, replenishment, reporting, performance and tremendous flexibility that is not available in other systems.”

Undergoing great expansion, Marukai plans to open 4 new stores in California and implement a 17-User Microsoft Dynamics NAV Advanced Management system with LS Retail (POS) and ChargeLogic (Credit Card).  This was a competitive win over IBM POS, NCR and Fujitsu IIS45 for POS. LS Retail is also replacing MAS90 for accounting.
