Landsteinar Strengur hf. is pleased to announce the availability of the LS Retail Data Director 2.20 on the partner portal on www.LSRetail.com. New Features and enhancements: This release contains new features which improve the scalability of the Data Director in addition to enhancements and fixes to existing features.
• Forwarders The addition of forwarders will improve the scalability of the Data Director. Forwarders handle the actual shipping of data from the source to the destination location thus relieving the main Data Director of this task. This feature is implemented in the Data Director service and will be included in the LS Retail Version 4.20 scheduler. Available for testing on LS Retail 4.10.02 in August 2006. • Package Creation The Data Director now has a special mode that only creates data packages. This is used in conjunction with the Forwarders. • Pausing of Reception of Incoming Messages The listening port of the Data Director can now be turned off temporarily. This makes sure no new messages arrive if the message queue needs to be cleared. • Blob support Blobs are now fully supported if used in MBS Navision or MS SQL Server. • Internal flow improved The internal flow of packages has been greatly improved to enhance overall performance and stability. • Improved Error Handling for MBS Navision Unhandled errors when records were updated in MBS Navision are now caught and reported properly.
