Dynamic Vertical Software Pvt. Ltd (DVS) of Delhi has signed an agreement with Landsteinar Strengur of Iceland to become an exclusive distributor of its software solution suite, LS Retail, in India.
LS Retail is an end-to-end, integrated business solution for the retail and hospitality industries taking into account financials, inventory management, cash flow, customer accounts and all front and back end business needs.
"India has a huge retail market but no comprehensive, integrated and user-friendly retailing solution," said Rakhee Nagpal, Managing Director of Dynamic Vertical Software. "We are here to plug that huge gap bringing in proven international processes and localizing it to meet the unique requirements of the Indian market."
India has scores of shopping malls, dozens of retail chains and 12 million shop-keepers. Annual retail sales are estimated at $205 billion. Until now, no comprehensive retail solution has been available in the market.
"In India, we will localize the products, market the solutions and build the partner network. The companies partnering with DVS in India will have unique expertise in the retail and hospitality sectors, which will allow us to meet the exact and unique requirements of the customers,” Ms Nagpal said.
“Retail solutions from Landsteinar Strengur have been sold to 130 countries and translated into 30 languages,” explains Mr. Sveinn Aki Ludviksson, Sales Director with Landsteinar Strengur. “The solutions are already being used by 9,400 stores worldwide. LS Retail is based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/AX for the international arena.
Ms Nagpal is not new to the information technology business in India. She was Director as well as Marketing Manager of Navision India, founded by her late father, Mr. Yashvir Nagpal.
Last year, Microsoft Corporation, exercised its option to buy Navision India which was the exclusive distributor of Microsoft Business Solutions, now Microsoft Dynamics, in the Indian Territory.
Ms Nagpal has a Degree in Economics and Business Finance and a Masters in Marketing, from London Universities.
